Your Port Elgin Council Choice

I am a retired school teacher, small business owner, mother of four, and proud grandmother of two. 
Port Elgin has always been my happy place. My mother used to call our family cottage here 'Heaven,' a sentiment I have carried with me my entire life. When I retired 16 years ago, there was no question where I wanted to be— so we moved to Saugeen Shores permanently to officially call Port Elgin our home.
In 2019, driven by a desire for our beachfront to not be over commercialized, I co-founded the Port Elgin Beach Preservers alongside 65 passionate residents. We united to ensure our collective concerns reached the ears of local government. I am incredibly proud that our group has grown to nearly 5,000 members.
For the past seven years, I have attended, observed, or presented at every single Saugeen Shores Council Meeting. I have gained an appreciation of many of the complex issues facing our community. I have spent countless hours researching policy, analyzing council choices and decisions, and learning exactly what is required to be an informed and trusted Council Member.
This journey has led me to run for Port Elgin Ward Councillor. I am eager to help shape the positive growth our municipality deserves.
